The winning item — a vibrant Nandi folk song — was the institution’s first entry on stage, signaling a strong start to their presence at this year’s competition. The announcement was made through the institution’s official social media platforms, celebrating the win with the words:

“Our very first item on stage at the 2025 National Music Festivals in Meru has clinched 1st position with an impressive 89% score, performing the vibrant Nandi Folk Song!”

Celebrating heritage through music

The festival, a platform where institutions from across the country showcase their musical and cultural talents, aligns closely with Kenya Coastal News' ongoing campaign to highlight and preserve African heritage. TENP’s performance served as a powerful representation of indigenous culture and artistic expression.

As KCN continues to champion themes of "Embracing environment, culture and conservation of our heritage as a tool to uphold moral values in society," such wins reaffirm the importance of integrating traditional art into modern education.

A proud moment for TENP

The victory not only brings prestige to the Uasin Gishu-based institution but also reinforces its commitment to holistic education.
