Likoni MP Mishi Mboko on Thursday hosted students from Blessed Joseph Allamano School in Likoni during an educational tour of the National Assembly. The visit aimed to give them a practical opportunity to learn about the operations and responsibilities of the country’s legislative body.
Joy in Welcoming Them
Accompanied by Mombasa County Woman Representative Zamzam Mohamed, Ms. Mboko expressed her delight at the opportunity to meet young people from her constituency.
“It has been a great joy to welcome these young people from Likoni on their learning journey about the work of the National Assembly,” said the MP.

Emphasis on Girls’ Education
The two leaders took the opportunity to encourage the students to devote more time and effort to their studies, especially the girls.
“We have advised the students, especially the girls, to dedicate themselves more to their studies,” Ms. Mboko added.
Preparing Leaders of Tomorrow
The MP said such visits inspire confidence and an understanding of leadership responsibilities among young people, preparing them to contribute to the country’s development.
“We believe that visits like these give students the motivation to believe in themselves, understand the duties of leadership, and be inspired to contribute to the development of our nation,” she said.
Broader Impact on Youth Development
Educational tours such as this not only deepen students’ understanding of governance but also bridge the gap between young citizens and national leadership.
By seeing how laws are made and policies debated, students gain practical knowledge that complements classroom learning and fosters a sense of civic responsibility.
