Government Lauds Dawoodi Bohra Community for National Development
Present were His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, and Shahzada Qaidjoher Ezzuddin, the rector of Aljamea-tus-Saifiyah, and Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, among other leaders.

Kenya's leadership has commended the Dawoodi Bohra community for the contribution that it has made towards Kenya's socio-economic development, specifically in the housing, healthcare, and education sectors. Investment by the Dawoodi Bohra community is said to be impactful and in line with the national development agenda, pushing forth livelihoods alongside values-driven growth.

This was during a visit to the Aljamea-tus-Saifiyah Nairobi Tower in Karen, where the leaders noted the great strides the Dawoodi Bohra community has been making in national development through institutions that combine academic excellence with moral and social values.

Education at the Center of Transformation

One of the most outstanding agenda items of the meeting was acknowledging Aljamea-tus-Saifiyah--a world-class Arabic academy owned by the Dawoodi Bohra community. The Academy was appreciated for contributing to education, character-building, and inculcating values that are considered as correctives in society. The leaders felt that such institutions demonstrate that education goes much beyond academics to mould responsible and involved citizens.

Education as a whole remains central to the long-term transformation strategy of Kenya government, more so in its ambition to become a first-world economy. Skills development is high on the list of priorities in the succour of Kenya, particularly in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The government wishes to ensure that 60 percent of children are skilled in STEM. This would mean a good working background for the benefit of other future endeavours.

This approach, as expressed by the leaders, is parallel to the great work performed by the Dawoodi Bohra community. A greater number of institutions encourage learning, discipline, and social responsibility.

Infrastructure and Economic Growth Agenda

The reforms in education system were further consolidated with an infrastructure development project, which is aimed at fast-tracking economic growth. Pursuit of this programme can provide for 10,000 megawatts of energy in support of industrialization while enabling the construction or upgrading of 30,000 km of roads to make better connectivity. Another initiative includes the development of a modern airport and also fundamental reforms within the health sector.

These investments, leaders said, would provide the required premise for skills utilization, job creation, and sustainable development. They were quick to express that the cooperation with communities such as Dawoodi Bohra concerning national goals is extremely decisive and constructive; hence, the most fruitful one is when government and communities work together.

Call For Stronger Partnership

The officials expressed hope towards strengthening the partnership and making it sustainable, alongside continued partnership for achieving inclusive growth and long-term prosperity in Kenya. They applauded the community's track record of supporting the social infrastructure as an example of how faith-based and cultural institutions can meaningfully contribute to national aspirations.

In the entourage to the campus at Aljamea-tus-Saifiyah prayer meeting were also present His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, the Dai of Muslim Dawoodi Bohras, Shahzada Qaidjoher Ezzuddin, the rector of Aljamea-tus-Saifiyah, together with Prime Cabinet Secretary and other invited leaders and dignitaries.

Shared Vision towards the Future

Leaders have concluded by reiterating their commitment to working with communities equally aligned to Kenya’s vision for moving forward, unity, and development. They did emphasize that the place to level out investment in education, infrastructure, social service, together with strong partnerships, to facilitate Kenya’s journey to be a globally competitive first-world economy.

Thus, the engagement was an amalgamation of visions of development with concern of people, skills, that attach values right at the core of Kenya's transformation objectives.
