It was a delightful afternoon in Nyali as Nyali Member of Parliament Mohamed Ali received a special visit from leaders of the Kongowea Market Traders Association. The meeting, held at the MP’s residence, was both a moment of personal connection and a serious engagement on matters affecting the constituency.
Leaders Show Support Post-Surgery
The delegation was led by Chairperson Biasha Hamisi, Patron John Musya, and Treasurer Millicent Obudho. Their visit served two key purposes — to check on the MP’s progress following his recent knee surgery, and to hold discussions on the welfare of market traders as well as development initiatives in Nyali.
A Grateful Message from the MP

In a statement, MP Mohamed Ali expressed appreciation for the visit and the community’s continued support. “A delightful afternoon in the company of Kongowea Market Traders Association Leaders,” he said.
He went on to thank the team for their thoughtful gesture during his recovery. “Grateful for the food they brought and thankful for all the support, prayers and well wishes from the community,” he added.
Focus on Nyali’s Development
While still recuperating, the MP underscored the importance of collaboration with grassroots leaders as a key part of his work in the constituency. Discussions with the Kongowea leadership focused on trader welfare and upcoming development projects aimed at improving lives in Nyali.
The MP concluded by reaffirming his dedication to the people of Nyali. “I look forward to our continued work in developing Nyali,” the statement concluded.
The visit by the Kongowea Market Traders
Association reflects a close relationship between the local leadership and the elected representative — one that continues to prioritize the needs of the people and the growth of the region.
