
Kenya and France have renewed their commitment to deepening diplomatic and multilateral ties, following high-level talks between President William Ruto and French President Emmanuel Macron in Seville, Spain.
In a statement shared on his social media platforms, President Ruto emphasized the strength of Kenya-France relations, saying.
“France remains one of our closest allies whose diplomatic ties go back many decades. Kenya is committed to nurturing this relationship to deepen bilateral cooperation and promote even closer collaboration.”said Ruto.
The two leaders discussed a range of issues, including global economic reforms. President Macron reaffirmed France’s support for Kenya’s leadership in multilateral efforts, particularly on reforms to the international financial system.

They highlighted the Pact for Prosperity, People, and Planet an initiative co-chaired by both nations as a key platform for advancing shared goals.President Ruto expressed optimism about the future of the partnership, noting.
“We look forward to building on this momentum at the France-Africa Summit in Nairobi in 2026.” Wrote the president.
The summit is expected to further cement strategic ties between France and African nations, with Kenya playing a central role.
