The Media Council of Kenya has joined family, friends, and the entire media fraternity in mourning the death of Kurgat Maridany, a veteran investigative journalist.
Distinguished Career in Journalism
Until his demise, Mr. Maridany was the Editor-in-Chief of Kajiado News Update. Over the years, he worked with leading media houses including the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), the Daily Nation, the Star Newspaper, the Kenya Times, and the Standard Newspaper.

Before joining the journalism profession, Mr. Maridany served the Kenyan Government as a senior librarian, overseeing the Garissa Area Library for 11 years.
