Uasin Gishu Senator Jackson Mandago has mourned Bishop Joseph K. Likavo of the International Vision Centre (IVC) Church in Eldoret, describing him as a true man of God who positively touched the lives of many families in the region beyond the pulpit.

In a condolence message sent to newsrooms and signed by his office, senator Mandago stated that he had learnt of Bishop Likavo’s demise with shock and sorrow adding that it was a great loss not only for the IVC Church fraternity but the entire Christendom. The life of the departed bishop, he added, is a life of absolute faith in God;and humility and total submission and commitment to serving God and humanity.
Senator commended Bishop Likavo as religious leader who was always caring and committed to his calling. Under his leadership the IVC Church developed into a deep and broad based faith community helping men and women grow to spiritual maturity while confronting social and moral problems in its world. “It was because of the good work by Bishop Likavo as a shepherd of Jesus Christ that thousands of hopeless cases sought counsel, prayer and mentoring from him,” added Mandago.
“Bishop Joseph K. Likavo was a man of service with faith,” said Senator Mandago. “His ministry was based on love, humility, and obedience to God, and out of that foundation it blossomed until the end of his life he shared God’s message with the world.” His service in helping so many families and individuals go deeper spiritually will never be forgotten.”
Senator Mandago offered deep condolences to the grieving family that includes Pastor Dan, Mama Janet, Joy, Maureen and the entire Likavo family and cheerful mourners at IVC Church.
