Kilifi County Joins NYOTA Youth Forum in Naivasha
The county team reaffirmed its dedication to fostering a thriving environment where young people can lead, innovate, and contribute meaningfully to Kenya’s socio-economic development.

Earlier today, Kilifi County’s CEC for Youth Affairs Dr. Ruth Dama Masha and Chief Officer Naftali Owino joined PS Fikirini Jacobs of the State Department for Youth Affairs and Creative Economy at the scenic Sawela Lodge in Naivasha for a national consultative forum.

The high-level engagement brought together CECs, Chief Officers, and County Directors from across the country to discuss the implementation of the NYOTA Project a nationwide youth empowerment initiative aimed at transforming the lives of young Kenyans.

Strengthening Coordination and Impact

Key discussions focused on aligning County Governments with implementing agencies to eliminate duplication, streamline resource use, and ensure programming meets the unique needs of youth in each county.

Kilifi’s Youth to Benefit Directly

Through the NYOTA Project, over 2,450 young people across Kilifi’s 35 wards will benefit directly — forming part of the national goal to reach 820,000 youth with meaningful, targeted programs.

“Our priority is to ensure that youth in Kilifi are not only included but are actively empowered through programs that reflect their needs and aspirations,” read part of the statement shared on the County Government of Kilifi’s official social media handles.
